Pre Enrolment

Parents are encouraged to pre‑enrol their son at any time. Although, it does not constitute acceptance, it allows for regular contact from the school, particularly about Open Days and Information Evenings. To pre‑enrol parents should complete the application form included with the prospectus and forward to the school.

A Confirmation of Application Form is then sent to parents with details regarding enrolment.

Enrolment

The enrolment process begins in the year prior to admission. Applications for the coming academic year close on 31 May. An interview time will be sent to parents with all interviews taking place during June. On 1st July a letter will be sent to successful applicants offering a place at the school. The Confirmation Form and non-refundable $300 Confirmation Fee must be received no later than 1 August to confirm your son's enrolment.

Late applications will be accepted after these dates if places are available. These applications will be processed on a first in basis.

In November, all boys who have accepted a place are invited to attend a 'New Enrolees Day" to prepare for their upcoming entry at Waihi School.

Scholarship exams for Year 5 boys moving into Year 6 and Year 6 boys moving into Year 7 are held in August. Information regarding scholarships is listed under Scholarships here.
